49 Operating the Web Control Panel

HSTC Options
Configuration.
Device ID order
This option is only displayed when the miSAN-V-Series is configured for a virtual
stacker.
This item controls whether the base SCSI ID is assigned to the virtual stacker
(“Stacker then drives”) or to a virtual standalone drive (“Drives then stacker”). If there
is more than one virtual stacker, each stacker and its virtual tape drives will be
assigned SCSI IDs as a set.
Examples: A miSAN-V-Series with two virtual standalone drives, and with Base SCSI
ID set to
2, will use SCSI ID 2 for the first tape drive and SCSI ID 3 for the second
tape drive.
